HK beef 37% more expensive than Shenzhen or Guangzhou

Food and Health Bureau examined supermarket prices for fresh beef in HK, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. They found Shenzhen prices were 41% lower, and Guangzhou prices were 33% lower.

It was quite the stumble the Guangzhou native took after he and his playmates — siblings of the friends the parents were visiting that day — ended up outdoors. Fortunately, his potentially fatal leap of excitement was softened by a hardy flower bed, which had become soft after several days of rain. After the fall, the boy simply sat up and took the elevator back up to the friends’ apartment, where he said he wanted to “take a rest.”
