Dongfeng, which makes cars with Nissan Motor Co and PSA Peugeot Citroen in China, will inject capital into Fujian Motor Industry Group Co in exchange for an undisclosed stake from the Fujian provincial government, according to an e-mailed statement yesterday, which didn’t include financial details.

China Resources Power Holdings Co, an electricity generator, and China Resources Gas Group Ltd, a natural gas distributor, are in talks to form an integrated energy group under their parent, the two subsidiaries said in separate statements to the Hong Kong stock exchange yesterday. Neither company provided details of their discussion nor a time line for the negotiations.

Lu Hsiang-cheng (呂向正) is being investigated for insider trading along with four other people and posted NT$1 million (US$34,000) in bail, Taipei Deputy Chief Prosecutor Huang Mou-hsin (黃謀信) said on Friday.

Whodunit: Illegal trades probed on MediaTek-MStar deal

From Bloomberg:

“We are investigating whether there was insider trading and we searched the offices and homes of five suspects,” Taipei Deputy Chief Prosecutor Huang Mou-hsin told Bloomberg News late yesterday. Those people include employees from MStar and another company, he said, declining to name the second company. He wouldn’t say if the investigation is related to the planned deal or provide a time-frame of when the suspicious trading occurred.
