From Taiwan News:

Despite the gloomy economy, more than three out of every 10 enterprises in Taiwan have revealed plans to raise wages for their employees. The Formosa Plastics Group (FPG) is one of them, with the petrochemical giant reported to launch a 2 percent wage hike this year. Citing a 1111 Job Bank survey, the Chinese-language China Times newspaper reported Tuesday that nearly 36 percent of the surveyed enterprises said they plan to increase salaries this year, representing a growth of 7 percentage points compared with last year.
